Plastic seedling pots – 7 x 7 x 6 cm – Blue

These pots come in different colors to brighten up your garden and color code your seedlings.

These plastic seedling pots are ideal for growing your own seedlings at home.  Seedlings need protection against the elements and pests like snails and insects till they are strong enough to be planted in to the garden.

Fill the pot with seedling mix, sow your seed and cover it with shallow layer of potting soil (5mm).

Keep in a warm place, watering it regularly, keeping the soil moist.

When the seedlings are strong enough, prepare your planting bed.  Gently squeeze the pot to loosen the soil from the sides, holding your hand over the top of the pot, turn the pot upside down and slip the seedling with the soil out of the pot and plant into your bed.

If you planted tree seeds and its the right time to repot your seedling you can work on the roots and repot the seedling into a bigger suitable pot.

Bonsai

Use the pots as a training pots for bonsai seedlings and small trees.

If the trees become to strong or dry out quickly, place then on a humidity tray.

Build  your own humidity tray.  Place gravel in a suitable drip tray to create a humidity tray, place the pots on top of the gravel.  Water the gravel until the water reach up to the top of the gravel.  During the day the water will evaporate and increase the humidity around the trees, reducing the loss of water from their pots.
