Workshops

We have various workshops and beginners courses for this year.  For more information please contact us on 0833750446 (list of dates at bottom of the page)

We do one on one consultations and workshops.  Just give us a call to book and inquire regarding availability.

Stone Lantern Bonsai Nursery will hold different workshops during the year.  These workshops will be held by different bonsai artists and will cover a wide range of subjects regarding bonsai.  Booking is essential as the size of the group will be restricted to allow good communication between the group and the lecturer.

These workshops will concentrate more on the practical part of the subject, since there is more than enough on the subject written on the internet.  References to bonsai websites and related articles will be supplied.

List of Courses/Workshops

Workshops can also be a good team building experience and also make a great gift.

You can also book a one-on-one personal workshop at the nursery.  For more details give us a call.

If you feel you would like to do a workshop on a particular subject feel free to contact us and we will arrange it.

Trees, pots and accessories will be available for sale.

We got several requests of people who want to do a workshop but then are not sure of what they exactly want, or people want to give a workshop as a present to a friend or family member but are not sure what will suit them.  Often these persons already got several trees and don’t need a basic beginners workshop.  Feel free to contact us for assistance to make the right choice.

Theory will cover basic bonsai design, styling of bonsai, different species suitable for bonsai, wiring, pruning, repotting and other topics related to bonsai.

We will also do the following workshops:
